Yeah the Grey thing is actually the porch railing. It's white in real life but I used a strobe to help balance Him from the right to fill in a little of the shadows from the setting sun coming in from the left side. And the rail wasn't in the strobe path so it was underexposed hence the going gray. The grey thing actually helps with the final product thing....
