A fun trip to test out a few area's that I've been looking at shooting at for a while. Today I finally got out there and checked out 2 of them with Renee.
One of the first shots, Just a lil bit from the parking lot down a service path. 3:45 setting sun from behind and a bare SB-28 balancing and fill from camera right. Same 1 light setup for most of the shots to fill/balance against the sun.

Well, you know my monitor and blacks. I sent it through photoshop though, and I can't seem to get it to work. So... hm. I think the blacks are overwhelming. The coat, especially on the right side (her left) kinda lost its definition.
On the other hand, I like how what little color she has on pops.
Hmmmmm, I'm going to put up another version here in a sec. But I can sorta see the blacks.... Haha, this is why I hate editing on the laptop. The Screen makes everything look bright.
Ah... nice edit. I like.
Also, the third picture is pretty sweet. Mayhaps photoshop out the car over her bicep - kinda too perfectly placed, if that makes any sense.
That bag, by the way, is a ninja.

2nd one's cool, just wish that nice blue sky would have continued on just a bit more, or just had more gradual white blow out, rather than a huuuge one.
third one, don't care too much for the pose.
the first one is nice though, simple.
Thanks Alyssa :) yeah the sky blew out really quickly on that. I should have brought up the flash a little to help balance and bring it back. Ohwell that's what tests are for right?
