1.8 is soooo smooth, that person in the back is basically gone
I kinda like this one even though it's oof.... f1.8 and I have a love n hate relationship. 
All shot Ambient at ISO 200 @ 85mm f1.8 on the venerable 1D MkI, it's nice to be back to primes and the 1D, just like old times

love the first one. and i like the natural joyful feel in all the portraits. or the natural feeling in general, any editing at all? cause to me they feel like they're very much so live-lighting, like what your own eyes would be seeing.
and of course the snow, i looovve the snow, the last two are nice.

Thanks, Alyssa... Yeah the free and natural feeling really did come out, I'm really happy with how they came out for being a spur of the moment thing.....
As for editing I just did a quick color balance and a slight curves adjustment to bring up contrast...
Yeah the snow is pretty sweet, I'm really excited for break so I can set up some shoots like this, snow + peacoats and well anything really = me excited!

I love the lamppost one. It brings back memories of Early Bird... which are okay memories, I guess. Maybe could've come back later to get more falling snow in the shot?

I really like the one where she's holding the cellphone with the blurred dude in the BG. The focused falling snow creates an awesome mood.

Well that's good that they were happy memories, yeah for this shot I was pretty certain I wouldn't be coming back anytime later to get falling snow, this was right after lemerhirts class... I did want to get snow but the snow was always done by the time physics got out.
Why thankyou, lol thats "natural" Amy, because she's constantly texting. Yeah I forced myself to go back to shooting with Fast Primes for the week and like that shot, it paid off.
