10hrs of cold

Local Football in February, What could be better. While the Bears haven't played for the last month 12 or so teams braved the cold on Feb 2nd for the 4th annual Numb Thumb Snow Down. The NTSD is an all day flag football competition with a chance for a nice payoff. Yesterday around 12 teams took part of what culminated to a 10hr flag football frenzy. Whats not to like, there was Football, Food, Friendship and a Fee? But hold on a sec whats fun about a Fee. While the fee was minimal the results of the money collected is truly huge. All proceeds from the Tourney go to fund Oswego Presbyterian Church's Youth Group in their trips to aid the underprivileged and homeless. So whether it be handing out gloves on Broadway in Aurora or building homes for Katrina victims down south, the participants will be happy knowing they're contributions go to a good cause.
The man behind the fund raiser Youth Pastor Sam Perkins.

Local Culvers worker Alex Witcpalek Jukes to the left in the first Half of their 2nd game.
Matt Prinzing a financing major at NIU is stopped in his run for the goal.
Drew Kjeldsen (#42) of Indiana successfully grasps the ball for a touchdown in the first half of the Semifinals Bracket game.
The Hoosier Hustlers didn't repeat their first place ranking but did come in a close 2nd.
Beating out the Hoosiers in a tight game Bet The Under brought the Trophy back home to the IL.

I'm interested in the backstory behind this. From the first picture, uniforms and the trophy, looks like a semi-formal/competitive event, but what's a girl doing playing? Not to be sexist or anything...

Okay I'm a pig.
