I don't think the cross processing does this picture justice. It makes the picture urban and grungy... which a girl in a prom dress doesn't want to be. It make is look much more interesting than the original, though. You could try combining the best of both worlds; heal/smear/airbrush her skin. The CP annihilates her ankles and forearms. Her forehead looks overexposed. Or you could try CPing the background, and masking her out. You might also consider lightening up the flowerbushthingyplantwithrosesorsoemthing.
Yeah I know what you mean, and I need people to be honest so don't feel bad you have the knowledge I don't, You've actually received actual training on this stuff. But I just got bored. The Faux Polaroid transfer is getting a ton of use lately. At work we've been getting a bunch of these with three Vertical wedding photos arranged horizontally on this plastic board. So with the second one, You'd want more contrast?

i'm not exactly diggin' the second one.. it's kind of flat to me.
the first one... it is a grungy look really, which... in my opinion, is really overused these days..
